We got the word “Enchanted” to work with, originating from this year’s Inktober day 7.

Considering I was using a different prompt list from the original because I didn’t get many inspiration from the original one, I didn’t really have an idea for this character either.

Looking around a bit and using an art prompt generator led me to the word “dark”, which seemed like fun!

I got started with Snow white and the Seven Dwarfs, except the dwarfs are skeletons/Grim Reaper derivations.

The second part of the assignment was to continue with the same character concept, but this time we had to start with creating silhouettes. After creating a poll on Instagram, the third bird-lady silhouette got the most votes and became the design I went with.

Next lesson, we rendered our characters, adding shadows and lights.
